Special events can create a lot of waste, but YOU can prevent bottles and cans from being sent to the landfill by providing guests the opportunity to recycle! 

The Jay County Solid Waste Management District offers indoor and outdoor recycling containers that can be loaned to residents for many events for FREE!

Containers are perfect for the following events:

-Festivals

-Parties

-Wedding Receptions

-Graduation Parties

-Fundraisers

-Concerts

-And more….

A few guidelines for our loaner program:

-Please confirm at least a week before your event that containers are available by contacting the district at 260-729-5071 or by email.

-All collected recyclables are to be placed in any of the recycling locations throughout Jay County.

-Your organization/staff is responsible for the pick up and return of all recycling container equipment.

-Pick up of containers needs to be during normal business hours unless arrangements are made with district staff.

-Containers and any leftover bags must be returned by the date listed on the registration form.

-Any container lost, stolen, or damaged will result in a charge of $75.00 so the district may replace the container.

-Containers that are returned to the district dirty may be subject to a cleaning fee.
